Welcome to Your Paws First, where your pets are family! Founded by Kristen Hachtmann, our company was born out of a passion for animals and the desire to live a more fulfilling life. After leaving the corporate world behind, Kristen realized her happiness and purpose came from caring for animals. What started as a few dog walks and pet-sitting requests from friends and neighbors quickly grew in to a business, driven by love and a deep connection to the community.
With a lifetime of experience caring for animals, Kristen has always had a special bond with them, understanding their needs, quirks and personalities. Now, after over 15 years of calling Allentown home, Kristen is proud to offer professional, reliable, and compassionate pet care services to the area.

Our Services
At Your Paws First, we provide a variety of home based pet care services from our popular pack walks for dogs to in-home, overnight care for both dogs and cats. While most of our clients are furry and have four legs, we are open to understanding all of your pet care needs. Please contact us if you are looking for care that is not listed here.
Introduction Meeting
This is a free, 30-minute session for you and your furry family to get to know us and for us to get to know you. We keep things fun while discussing your pet care needs, in the comfort of your own home. It’s easy and we’re not about pressure. After your intro meeting, you can book any services offered by Your Paws First!
Whether it’s for a day, or longer, we offer in home care to help maintain your pet’s routine and environment while you are away. Our frequent visits and complimentary mail pickup also provide added security for your home while you are away.
Overnight Care for Dogs (in your home): $90/night Includes 10 hours of evening, overnight, and morning care Overnight Care for Cats (in your home): $80/night
Vacation Care for Cats (in your home): $25/day or $100 for 5 days Same as a drop in visit

By Your Side Companion Care
Experienced and trained team members are by your side to focus on your pet’s food and water, bathrooming, exercise and play, sleeping/safe space, hygine and love.
30-Minute Visit: $30/dog or cat
1-Hour Visit: $50/dog or cat
Additional dog: $10 Additional cat: $5
Additional Services
Puppy Care (extra potty breaks, training reinforcement): $5 per visit
Medication Administration: $5 per visit
Holiday Convenience: +$15 per service on federal holidays
Last-Minute Booking (less than 24-hour notice): +$10
Adventure Walks Package (3 per week): $125 (save $10)
Weekly Vacation Cat Care (5 consecutive days): $90 (save $10)
